Bohol Travel: Panglao Beach

Surf + sand + sun = awesome time.

That’s one of the things that attracted me so much in deciding to celebrate my 37th birthday in Bohol, Philippines. To be exact, celebrate it in the pristine shores of Panglao.

The moment we arrived in Tagbilaran City airport and rented a van to bring us to our home for the weekend, I can sense the salt in the air. And as we got nearer and nearer the coast, I can hear the gentle waves of the waters. It was so sunny that I’m blinded by the sun’s reflection on the white sands.

As a bonus, we were able to book a room in a very nice beachfront hotel — Henann Resort in Alona Beach, Panglao.

Early morning walks are too precious as there were barely people up yet. It’s so great to smell clean air and just get energized by being around nature (although it’s already developed land).

Praying to the almighty powers-that-be to grant us fair weather to explore around the area. Alona Beach, Panglao, Bohol, Philippines

I might plan another trip in the future. Maybe then I’ll be with a special someone, celebrating something different than a birthday.
